Data Deletion

Introduction

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as the Meta Platform Policy, you have the right to erasure of your personal data held by Settyn (operated by Welwitech). This page describes the procedure to follow to exercise this right.

How to Request Deletion

To request the deletion of all of your data, send an e-mail to the following address from the address associated with your Settyn account:

  • Email: support@settyn.com
  • E-mail subject: « Data deletion request »
  • Content: specify the e-mail address associated with your account and, where applicable, the relevant Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp user identifier (UID).

You may also, at any time, delete your account yourself from the Settings → Account → Delete my account interface after logging in to Settyn. This action triggers the same deletion procedure described below.

Data Deleted

Upon receipt of your request, we proceed with the permanent deletion of the following data:

  • Account data: identifiers, name, e-mail, phone, preferences.
  • Conversation data: histories of private messages (DMs) received from Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, as well as the responses generated by artificial intelligence.
  • Lead data: qualified contacts, scoring, statuses, notes and deal values.
  • Meta platform access tokens: the Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business OAuth tokens are revoked with Meta and purged from our systems.
  • Knowledge base (RAG): imported documents, vector embeddings, media files.
  • Whop / Stripe billing data: payment data is deleted on the Settyn side. Historical invoices required by law are retained by Whop and Stripe in accordance with their own legal retention obligations (in particular accounting obligations).
  • Activity logs: connection history, audit trail and events.

Processing Time

We undertake to acknowledge receipt of your request within 72 business hours and to carry out the effective deletion within a maximum period of 30 days, in accordance with article 12.3 of the GDPR. A confirmation e-mail is sent to you once the deletion is complete.

Encrypted backups, retained for a maximum period of 35 days for service continuity purposes, are purged at the rotation cycle following the primary deletion.

Data from Meta Platforms

Specifically regarding data collected via the Meta APIs (Facebook Login, Instagram Graph API, Messenger Platform, WhatsApp Business Cloud API), the deletion entails:

  • The immediate revocation of the OAuth permissions granted to the Settyn application via a call to DELETE /me/permissions.
  • The unsubscription from webhooks on the connected Facebook pages, Instagram accounts and WhatsApp numbers.
  • The purge of messages received via these platforms, including the media (images, audio, video) stored on Firebase Storage.

This action is permanent: subsequently reconnecting a page requires restarting the OAuth flow from the beginning.

Partial Deletion

If you wish to delete only the data linked to a specific platform (for example, disconnecting Instagram while keeping Facebook Messenger), you can do so directly from Settings → Integrationsby clicking on « Disconnect » at the level of the relevant platform.

Complaint to the competent authority

If, after having contacted us, you believe that your rights over your personal data are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority — for example the CNIL in France.
